A blustery wind whipped through the parking lot at Heatherwood Senior Living on Friday, November 11, 2022. It was Veteran’s Day, and inside the residents had gathered for lunch and much-anticipated entertainment through the meal. The residents were particularly interested in this entertainment because a member of their own Staff would be in the chorus. As the chorus filed in, all eyes were searching. There she was! On Saturday, July 23rd, Capital City Sound Chorus sang at the Handy Hands Reflection auction and donated the gift of a performance to a lucky raffle winner! Handy Hands Reflections is a local nonprofit organization that creates and donates personalized memory albums for families, helping them through the grieving process. They make albums for loved ones, those on hospice, veterans, and for those who have lost pets.
The event and performance were both a huge success! Capital City Sound Chorus provided some entertainment to a crowd of over 50 ladies working hard on scrapbooking...
moreA small group from Capital City Sound Chorus sang the National Anthem at Memorial Stadium on July 2 before the start of the Boise Hawks baseball game. The visiting team, the Missoula Paddleheads, scored 2 runs in the top of the 9th inning so the Hawks ended up losing 3-2. A good time was had by all.
On a lovely evening in early June 2021, a small group from Capital City Sound Chorus wowed the home crowd at Memorial Stadium with a 4-part acapella rendition of the National Anthem. That night the Boise Hawks took on the Great Falls Voyagers and won 6-5! We look forward to other opportunities to sing the national anthem.
Capital City Sound quartets (count ‘em, three!) had a wonderful evening last Friday night performing at the annual Quartet Extravaganza, held at the St. Alphonsus McCleary Auditorium and sponsored by the Boise Chordsmen. In Treble Again quartet wraps up a tag to “Frog Kissin’” here. The other Capital City Sound quartets were Loose Ends and Serendipity.

A group from Capital City Sound Chorus gave an outstanding performance of the National Anthem as part of a ceremonial program for the Idaho State Police Dispatchers Conference, held at the Riverside Hotel on October 18. Also included were bagpipers and a police color guard.
